Reelectionist Barangay Chairman Joshua Taboclaon today challenge people in Barangay Canitoan to support for more developments in the barangay, as this will mean many job opportunities for the people.
Taboclaon claims the present developments in the barangay is a great indication that the barangay is growing in terms of economic activities. "Kung daghan business dire sa atong barangay, modaghan usab ang mga kahigayonan nga makatrabaho ang atong lumulupyo dinhin dapita, he said.
He said right now, big subdivisions are already visible in Canitoan, gasoline stations, chicken alacart franchises, Palawan pawnshop, and a lot more.
Many businessmen, Taboclaon said, has discovered the great potential of barangay Canitoan to be the next haven for businesses and commerce. In fact, a multi-billion company is also planning to put their biggest mall in the city in Barangay Canitoan. A source told this online magazine that Robinsons are now buying acres of land in the barangay. But Taboclaon is quick to say these are still plans of big companies. But he hopes, this plans would materialize in the future.
Right now, Cerritos, one of Villar Company's big subdivisions is now visible right in the main area of the barangay. Cerritos is recently reported to have over 500 elegant houses, as soon as constructions are completed.
