Rise of Padla

There is no stopping to the impressive rise of Lancelot Borja Padla among all aspirants for barangay councilors in Barangay Canitoan.

Just as his own online poster was posted in Facebook during the campaign period, over a hundred people and supporters liked the post in just about 30 minutes. We tried to get Padla’s reactions on the overwhelming likes he got from his FB friends and supporters but he was not available for interview.

One of the reasons people like Padla was that he has clear platforms of government once he got elected to the position.

According to Padla’s programs written in his flyers, he is going to author barangay ordinances that would help create scholarship programs for poor but deserving students. He will also author “Balik Skwela Program” for the poor students of the barangay most especially to sitio Agong, Centro Canitoan and Calaanan Relocation site.

Padla will also author ordinances for Health and Nutrition. Here, he is more focused on the health needs of children and the elderly. Among his priorities include giving free milk support for children and the malnourished kids, and also give free medicines for the elderly people. He will also give priority into giving feeding programs for children on malnutrition problems.

Also among his programs if he gets elected is livelihood for under privileged women, persons with disabilities and senior citizens. He will also conduct consultations how the barangay will be able to help cooperatives, local associations, and transport groups.
