Incumbent chairperson of Barangay Canitoan Joshua Taboclaon is now running again for the same position, to continue his ultimate goal of making the barangay the next business hub of the city.
In an exclusive interview with Taboclaon, he said right now Barangay Canitoan is experiencing economic boom. One of Senator Manny Villar’s housing subdivisions, Cerritos, is rapidly expanding in the barangay. Cerritos subdivision will be built with over 400 high end and affordable housing units.
Aside from that, there are also other housing subdivisions which have started in the barangay. The very famous chicken alacart franchise businesses such as Ogis, The Barn, Senior Pedro, Palawan Pawnshop, and all other businesses have also sprouted in the barangay like gasoline stations, among others.
“Ubay ubay napud sa mga patigayon ang nagsugod na ug panulod sa atong barangay. Mao ni mga timailhan nga dili na kapugngan ang pagdevelop sa Barangay Canitoan,” the barangay chairman pointed out.
Taboclaon added that if the people will vote him again for his last term, he will be able to continue his legacy which is to add more economic activities in the barangay.
